We'd like to share our books with you. Embracing Queer Family, The Story of Nib, an I Hardly Knew Me all point the way to ourselves and help us to live in community with one another. See below for more information on each, and check out where to find us in our other podcasts, articles and documentary.

Other resources that can be helpful for learning about yourself or a loved one is a general glossary of LGBTQIA+ terms. The Human Right's Campaign has a basic glossary that will be helpful for most, and the Trans Language Primer a more advanced resource for those who want to dig deeper. Our book Embracing Queer Family has a comprehensive resource list in the appendix as well. Please reach out with any questions!

Our Books

1

Embracing Queer Family

A guidebook for Queer families on how to live into their true selves and strengthen their communities through radical love, acceptance, and mutual healing. With hands-on tools for learning and reflection in each chapter, this needed resource tackles issues of inclusion and acceptance and offers practical advice for how individuals and families can honor themselves and find transformation for their whole community through love.

I Hardly Knew Me

In a time when trans lives are often reduced to debate points, I Hardly Knew Me captures the painful, beautiful, uncertain in-between. It’s not just a book about gender—it’s about choosing love, honesty, and self-worth in a world that often denies all three. It reminds readers that unconditional love is real, survival is possible, and coming to know who we truly are might just be the bravest thing we ever do.

The Story of Nib

The Story of Nib is the very real story of Nia's self discovery, but it is also a story for everyone who has conformed to the expectations of those around them, losing themselves in the process. In the end, only you can know who you really are.
